Do you have a Credit Card? Probably yes, because in today's time, people use it a lot. While it has many advantages, it also has disadvantages. The use of credit cards is increasing rapidly in urban areas. The bank offers credit cards to its customers and sets a limit on, after spending which the customer has to return the money to the bank. But sometimes many customers are not able to pay the bills on time or face other problems. In such a situation, it becomes necessary for credit card customers to know their rights, which are given to them by the Reserve Bank of India i.e. RBI. You can know about this in detail further…

These are the rights that you can know:-
Number 1

You are a credit card holder and if for some reason you are not able to pay the bill, then the bank does not have the right to assault you, threaten you, or use abusive language, etc. However, the bank may impose a fine on the cardholder and ask him to pay the bill.

Number 2
It is commonly heard that banks send recovery agents to customers' homes to collect credit card dues. At the same time, these agents do not desist from beating people, insulting them, and misbehaving. But here you should know that the bank has no such right. The bank can recover its dues from you only under the law.

Number 3
If money is wrongly withdrawn from your credit card, i.e. if a fraud happens to you, then in such a situation the bank has to help you completely. The bank has to get the investigation done and without this the bank cannot ask the customer to pay the money. You just have to inform the bank about the fraud within the stipulated time.

Number 4
If you are getting a credit card, the bank cannot forcibly give you any card. You are free to choose any card. Also, the bank cannot impose any charge as per its wish. The bank has to do everything as per the rules of RBI. If something like this happens to you, you can contact the bank.
