Online shopping site Amazon has started a new service called Amazon Air for quick delivery of orders to customers. At present this service has been started in 4 cities only. Know about it in detail.

E-commerce shopping site Amazon has launched a new air cargo service Amazon Air in India. Through this, the company will deliver goods to its customers by airplane. At present, the company will deliver this service in 4 metros of the country.

Amazon has invested in Quickjet, a cargo airline company that exclusively transports packages for this service.

Where will the delivery be done by Amazon Air?

The company has told that the service of Amazon Air will be available in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. So now customers in these cities will be able to get the goods faster when they order from Amazon. According to Amazon, the company wants to deliver orders to its customers in two days or less, which was difficult without Amazon Air.

This service started in these countries before India

Significantly, the company started its Amazon Air service in America and Europe before India. India has now become the third country in the world where this service will be available. Significantly, Amazon started this service in the US only in 2016. Amazon operates there more than 110 jets that fly to more than 70 destinations around the world.

It may also be mentioned here that Quikjet, a Bengaluru-based carrier company that is part of Europe's ASL Aviation, already operates an aircraft for Amazon. But now the company has engaged another aircraft for this purpose, which will work to deliver goods to cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.

Significantly, Amazon uses its ground delivery services for delivery. Along with this, the company has also partnered with Blue Dart Express Limited, one of the largest air cargo carriers in India.
