Please check the QR code before any payment
Nowadays people are being cheated through fake QR codes. Check the QR code even before paying Rs 1, only then pay. Check the QR code carefully. Usually, you get to see the QR codes of PhonePe, GooglePay, and Paytm.
Their name is on such a QR code. If someone sends you a QR code through e-mail or message, check it closely. Instead of scanning the QR code from Google Pay, PhonePe, or Paytm app, first scan the code with a QR code scanner. This will let you know where the URL of the code is redirecting you.
