Fraudsters cheat people through new methods every day. Sometimes by becoming a bank officer, sometimes in the name of a lottery. There are countless ways through which fraudsters steal people's hard-earned money. One such way is to cheat people in the name of a free ration. The government has been giving free rations to the ration card holders since the Corona period, which will continue this year as well. Under the guise of this, fraudsters are not desisting even from cheating people. Therefore, it becomes your responsibility that you should take special care of some things so that you do not become a victim of fraud. So let's know what are these things. You can learn about this in the next slides...
Keep these things in mind to avoid getting cheated:-
Number 1
If you are getting a call in the name of free ration and you have any confidential information on this call. Like- Bank account number, ATM card number, and any other information like CVV or OTP is sought, then never give it. Also, keep in mind that any concerned officer can never ask you for any such information.
Number 2
If you get such a call, in which the caller asks for the OTP received on your mobile, pretending to be an officer of the Food and Logistics Department or any other officer, never share it. If you do this, your bank account may be empty.
Number 3
If you are getting any such call in which you are being threatened that your ration card is being closed or the name of any of your family members has been struck off from the ration card. In such a situation, these scammers can cheat you by asking for your confidential information. If you want to know whether your ration card is active or not or whose name has been struck off, then you can get this information by going to your ration dealer. But do not give any information to anyone on the call.
Number 4
Fraudsters are also cheating ration card holders in the name of fake KYC. On these calls, a link is sent to people informing them about getting KYC done. Through this link, your mobile can be hacked and you can be slapped. So never click on any fake links.
