The level of air pollution in Delhi NCR has suddenly increased in the last few days. Taking cognizance of the deteriorating condition of the city, the Kejriwal government has imposed a temporary ban on the plying of BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel four-wheelers in Delhi till Friday. According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi NCR was marked under the "severe" category earlier this week, with the PM 2.5 level in the capital at 421 and PM was 529 in Gurugram.
