The Aadhaar card is issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India i.e. UIDAI which contains biometric and demographic information of the cardholder, but just imagine what will happen if your Aadhaar card turns out to be fake? Step 1
An Aadhaar card is an important document, so you need to know whether your Aadhaar card is fake or not.
To check this, first, you have to go to the official website of UIDAI https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/check-aadhaar-validity

Step 2
After going to the link, a page will open on your screen, which is a verification page
Here you will see two boxes, where you have to enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number in the first one
While in the second box you have to enter the captcha code given on the screen

Step 3
After filling in the captcha code, you have to click on Proceed
After this, if your Aadhaar card is real, then you will see 'It is present' written on the screen along with your Aadhaar number
Along with some other information about your Aadhaar, the last 3 digits of the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar will also be given.

To avoid fake Aadhaar, keep these things in mind:-

Never get your Aadhaar card made by any unknown person or any cyber cafe etc.

Always get your Aadhaar card made by going to the official Aadhaar Seva Kendra of UIDAI so that you are not cheated
