According to the Meteorological Department, the western disturbance has caused rain in Delhi-NCR. A western disturbance is located around 70°E and north of latitude 30°N, with a cyclonic circulation over northern Rajasthan and adjoining areas. The Meteorological Department said that under the influence of these systems, light rain is expected in many areas of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab including Delhi-NCR.

There may be rain with thunder in Punjab-Haryana. Cold wave is expected in western Rajasthan in the next two-three days and in eastern Rajasthan after two days. Heavy rain and thundershowers are expected in Tamil Nadu after two days. There will be rain in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Kerala today. Rain is also expected in some areas of Maharashtra. There is also a possibility of fog in some parts of Northeast India like Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
