Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio's 5G network, based on standalone architecture, is now available in 236 Indian cities. The telecom giant has also promised that its 5G network will spread to more cities, towns, and talukas by the end of 2023.
Currently, Jio has also partnered with a conversational customer relationship management (CRM) platform named Haptik. The company has now announced the launch of a WhatsApp chatbot named Jio Haptik. This chatbot will allow users to request a 5G connection.
500 million customers
In a statement to a media organization, Aakriti Vaish, co-founder and CEO of Haptic, said that our solution aims to meet the needs of 500 million customers.
It will migrate to Jio True 5G at every step, from eligibility checks to SIM delivery to device shopping and lead collection to after-sales support.
How will this chatbot work?
The chatbot will allow users to personalize their request for a 5G connection in the form of dynamic menu options.
This will include options for outage management through user type (postpaid and prepaid), device, location, and PIN code.
The virtual assistant supports English and other Indian languages like Hindi and Marathi.
Jio will also take advantage of Haptik's proactive messaging feature. This feature will help the company to proactively reach out and engage with new and existing users about the launch of 5G services.
Helpful in new network technology
It will also help in adopting the latest network technology.
Haptik has also recently launched a feature called Click-to-Haptik. This feature will help Jio run ads on Facebook and Instagram.
These ads will not only increase awareness about 5G but also spark new conversations with WhatsApp users interested in purchasing a 5G connection.
At the recently held 46th Annual General Meeting (AGM), Reliance announced that Jio's 5G network is now active in more than 96% of cities across India.
