Milk and dairy products are considered good for bones and joints. These contain high amounts of calcium and vitamin D. Calcium plays an important role in strengthening bones. As we age, proper calcium intake is important to maintain bone strength and repair them. At the same time, Vitamin D helps our body to absorb calcium properly. Therefore, both calcium and vitamin D are very important for bones and joints and the body gets it in sufficient quantity from milk and dairy products.
Green leafy vegetables
Green leafy vegetables like spinach and broccoli are considered good for the health of bones and joints. They contain Vitamin K and many other nutrients in abundance. These nutrients are necessary to maintain minerals in bones. Apart from this, Vitamin K is also good for joints. It works for proper movement of the tissues connecting the joints.
Nuts and Seeds
Nuts and seeds, such as almonds, walnuts, chia and flax seeds, are known to be good for joints and bones. They contain many nutrients including calcium and omega-3 fatty acids. These reduce inflammation and give strength to the bones. At the same time, magnesium present in these nuts and seeds is essential for bone formation. Therefore eat a handful of nuts daily. While eating salad and fruits, sprinkle some seeds on it.
Soap grains
Whole grains are also beneficial for bones and joints. The fibre present in them reduces inflammation in the body and is beneficial for health. Include brown rice, quinoa and oats in your diet.
