Suryakumar Yadav has scored a century for the first time in his IPL career. The star batsman of Mumbai Indians hit a tremendous century by hitting a six off the last ball of the innings against Gujarat Titans. Surya completed his century in just 49 balls, on which Mumbai scored 218 runs losing 5 wickets. Surya has his fourth century in T20 cricket the last one year. Along with this, Surya did a wonderful job of Sachin Tendulkar.

Mumbai Indians, who have been consistently batting brilliantly at the Wankhede Stadium, have once again shown this feat. After a blistering start by skipper Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav took charge in the seventh over and in his own style tore apart the Gujarat bowlers.

Century with a six on the last ball

Suryakumar Yadav did not let the pace of runs slow down and completed his fifth half-century of this season in just 32 balls. The attack of Suryakumar's bat continued even after this. At one point, Mumbai's score seemed to be stalling at less than 200, but in the last 3 overs, Surya's bat fired such a fire that Mumbai crossed 200.

Surya needed 13 runs in the last over to complete his century. He completed his first century in IPL by sending Alzarri Joseph's last ball for a six over midwicket.

Equal to Sachin Tendulkar

Surya completed this brilliant century in just 49 balls with 11 fours and 6 sixes. This is the fourth century of the IPL 2023 season. At the same time, a century has been scored in the Wankhede Stadium for the second consecutive match. Earlier, Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal had scored a century. The most important thing is that after Sachin Tendulkar's century in 2011, for the first time, a batsman from Mumbai scored a century in Wankhede.

This is only the fourth century of Surya's T20 career. The funny thing is that these four centuries of Surya have come within the last one year only. Out of this, he has scored 3 centuries in international cricket.
