Lucknow's slow start
Although the beginning was not good for Lucknow and Kyle Mayers was dismissed after scoring only 2 runs in 14 balls. Although Quinton Dickock played a strong innings and he was supported by Prerak Mankad, who was playing only his second match this season. There was a partnership of 42 runs between the two. Mankad-Stoinis and Puran's havoc
However, Mankad and Marcus Stoinis shared a 73-run partnership to raise hopes of the team's comeback. Stoinis tried to increase the pace of runs, which paid off. He was dismissed after hitting two sixes in the 16th over, but then Puran's attack was seen. After collecting 31 runs in the 16th over, Lucknow's victory seemed certain. Hyderabad missed by a big score
However, the Hyderabad batsmen had started well. Despite the early dismissal of Abhishek Sharma, Anmolpreet Singh, and Rahul Tripathi increased the pace of runs. Both crossed 50 in the powerplay. Both were out till the 9th over but Hyderabad was scoring runs at a rate of more than 9 runs per over.
Then the partnership of captain Eden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen was getting bigger but in the 13th over, Krunal piled Markram and Glenn Phillips on consecutive balls. The pace of runs decreased slightly from here. After this, Klaasen hit some excellent boundaries and along with Abdul Samad took the team to 182 runs. In the last 2 overs, the team could not score many runs and its effect was seen on the score.
Controversial decisions of umpires
Sunrisers Hyderabad had to fall victim to some controversial decisions by the umpires, which also affected their score. In the 19th over, the decision to give no ball to a full toss above the waist was changed by the third umpire. On which there was a ruckus from the ground to the audience. Then in the 20th over, the decision of not giving wide to the bouncer above the head was also shocking and Hyderabad could reach only 182 runs.
