There was also a meeting on Tuesday regarding the security arrangements for the upcoming matches at Ekana Stadium. In addition to senior officers of the police administration, officials of the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association and the Board of Control for Cricket in India were also present.
Ankit Chatterjee told that nothing special happened in the meeting regarding the match between Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings. However, the final decision on this has to be taken by the BCCI and the district administration.
IPL for the first time in Lucknow
IPL is being organized for the first time at Ekana Stadium. Lucknow Super Giants have to play seven matches at their home ground Ekana Stadium. Two matches have been played in these. Lucknow Super Giants registered a resounding victory in both these matches.
There are five more matches to be played here. These matches are to be held on April 15, April 22, May 1, May 4, and May 16. But the notification of civic elections cooled the enthusiasm of the sports fans regarding the high voltage match between Lucknow and Chennai.
