Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi have come face to face in a corruption case. On Wednesday, Bhagwant Mann appeared before the media along with IPL cricketer Jasinder Singh. Jasinder Singh had alleged that Jashan, nephew of former Chief Minister Channi, had demanded a bribe of Rs 2 crore for giving him a job and Channi had humiliated him and chased him away for not giving the money.

Maan presented several documents in front of the player's father Manjinder in the press conference and said that he would give a job to Jasinder. The file regarding giving the job to this player under the sports quota has been cleared. Along with this, action will be taken against Channi and his nephew after the investigation.

Maan showed photos of Jasinder and Channi's meeting
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann arrived with IPL player Jasinder Singh and his father Manjinder Singh at the press conference held at Punjab Bhawan. The Chief Minister also showed the photos of the meeting of Jasinder and Charanjit Channi to the media and said that these photos exposed the lies of Channi. Also showed the invitation letter for the program of the meeting day. Channi was present in it.
Maan said that Channi goes to Gurdwara Sahib and starts giving clarification. It would be better if he once again asked his nephew whether he had asked for money for the job. Jasinder, on the other hand, supported Mann's allegations and claimed that he had given this information to the chief minister when he was in Himachal to watch an IPL match. Please tell that Jasinder Singh is a part of the Punjab Kings in IPL.

The player had reached two lakh rupees
CM Mann said that he was told by the player that he went to the then CM Captain Amarinder Singh to take a job in the previous Congress government. The Captain said that his work would be done but in the meanwhile, the Congress removed the Captain and Channi became the Chief Minister. After this when this player met Channi, Channi asked him to meet his nephew. When this player met Channi's nephew, he said that it would take two. The player thought that he might be saying two lakh rupees, so he reached his father with two lakh rupees, then Channi's nephew abused and said that two means two crore rupees.
Channa's answer - the deal of my defamation in exchange for the job
After Bhagwant Mann's allegation, former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi also held a press conference on Wednesday along with his nephew Jashan and rejected his allegations outright. He said that the player has been traded for my defamation in exchange for a job. He said in front of the media at the Punjab Congress Bhawan that I am being mentally tortured by defaming his family. Many allegations were leveled earlier also but time will clear everything.

Bhagwant Mann was earlier talking about his nephew, now he is after his nephew. I never asked anyone to meet my niece or nephew. My nephew's whole family is doctors and my nephew himself is also a doctor. He was still working at that time. Pointing towards his nephew, Channi said that now the Hon'ble government has started defaming my family including this educated boy. Big fraud is being done. There is only a conspiracy behind this to defame me and nothing else.
