For the Indian Premier League matches to be held in Dharamsala, the franchise has started a counter for offline ticket sales outside the stadium. On the first day, a huge crowd of cricket lovers turned up for tickets since morning. The youth raised slogans against the HPCA management for not getting tickets early. The sale of tickets started at the offline ticket counter at around 11:00 am.
Cricket lovers could not get tickets for less than Rs 1250. Tickets bought online for Rs 1200 are available at offline counters for Rs 1500. Tickets of Rs 750, 850, and 1000 were missing from the counter. The personnel selling the tickets at the counter were seen saying that the tickets at lower prices have already been booked. In such a situation, cricket lovers have to pay more ticket prices at the counter than online.
To top it all, tickets for the first Friday morning match on May 17 were sold out. The sale of tickets for the May 19 match started after 1:00 pm. This saw a lot of resentment among the cricket lovers and they started raising slogans against the HPCA. Apart from this, at the online ticket pickup counter, the visitors are taking hard copies of the booked tickets since morning.
