The 45th IPL match between Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings was canceled. The match could not be completed due to rain in Lucknow and both the teams got one point each. Even though the home ground was Lucknow, the fans came in thousands to see Dhoni.
For every cricketer, they hit the peak of their popularity when they are in their prime age & form and slowly it dies down naturally. But Dhoni's popularity & love for him only keeps increasing even as he is nearing the sunset of his career. Dhoni came to play at Ekana Stadium for the first time, he was also honored for this. BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla honored Dhoni with a memento. At the time of the toss, commentator Danny Morrison asked about retirement, then Dhoni gave a funny answer.
Dhoni smiled and said, 'You have decided that this is my last IPL, not me'
