Aligarh Premier League will be held on the lines of Indian Premier League in the fourth week of May at the ground of Aligarh Sports Association. Eight teams appeared in the league. IPL cricketer Rinku Singh will be the brand ambassador of the league. He will be a part of any team.
On Friday, Arjun Singh Fakira, secretary of the league organization, told that there will be eight teams in the league. The winning team will be awarded Rs 71,000, the runner-up Rs 51,000 and the third-placed team Rs 21,000. Sumit Saraf, director of Samruddhi Township, said that the franchises will field teams under their own names in the league. These include Samruddhi Tigers, Maheshwari Super Kings, NS Warriors, Wisdom Blasters, KK Heartbeat, Abha Grand XI, Sangwan Lions, Dhruv Lock Challengers.
Jadaun Riders Cricket Club President Yogendra Pal Singh Bunty said that registration of players will be done. After that a 15-15 member team will be formed, which will be given to the franchisee through lottery. Registration forms will be available at Perfect Sports Goods Dodpur, ASA Maidan and Abha Grand.
