Yusuf Pathan had said that Dhoni can play for the next five years through the Impact Player rule. On this, Sehwag has explained why this rule is not right for players like Dhoni.
Sehwag said that the impact player is for those players who do not want to field. Dhoni plays as captain and he must stay in the field for 20 overs.
As a batsman, Dhoni must have played only 40-50 balls this season. No player can be kept in the team to play only 40-50 balls in a season. An impact player is for those who only bowl or bat.
Dhoni is useful in both fielding and batting, so he cannot be an impact player. If Dhoni cannot stay in the field for 20 overs while fielding then he will not play.
