Rava Uttapam: Whenever it comes to breakfast, our first choice is the South Indian dish. The reason is not one but many. Firstly they are made very quickly, secondly, they are not very heavy and thirdly what is most important is their taste. Today we are going to tell the recipe of one such dish, whose name is 'Uttapam'.
Ingredients
- Rava (semolina)
- Curd
-fruit salt
-Seasonal Vegetables
Green chilies (if you like spicy)
-Salt
Oil, ghee, or butter (as per your choice)
Method :
Make a thick batter by mixing semolina with curd and slowly adding water.
Finely chop the available seasonal vegetables.
- Keep it for a few minutes. Add vegetables and spices to the uttapam batter. Add water if necessary.
- You can also make a tempering of mustard seeds and curry leaves to add to the batter, but it is completely optional.
Finally, add fruit salt or baking soda and mix well.
Now, heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and grease it with a little oil.
Pour small portions of the rava uttapam batter and let it cook on medium-low heat.
Once it is done, flip it over and cook on the other side. Serve hot with the chutney of your choice.
