Woman Attacked Outside Mosque in Davanagere, 6 Arrested After Video Goes Viral

In a shocking incident in Davanagere city, Karnataka, a 38-year-old woman, Shabina Banu, was brutally attacked by a group of six individuals outside a mosque. The attackers used sticks and pipes to assault her, and the horrifying footage of the attack quickly went viral on social media. The police have since arrested all six accused.

The incident took place on April 9, when Shabina, along with two relatives, Nasreen and Fayaz, visited the Jama Masjid in Tavarekere, Bengaluru. The attack occurred after a complaint was lodged by Shabina’s husband, Jameel Ahmed, accusing her and her relatives. The husband’s complaint led to a summons for the three individuals, and when they arrived at the mosque, they were ambushed by the attackers.

The six accused—Mohammad Niaz (32), Mohammad Gauspir (45), Chand Basha (35), Dastagir (24), Rasool TR (42), and Inayat Ullah (51)—were arrested after the incident gained widespread attention. Shabina, who sustained serious injuries from the attack, has been admitted to the hospital, and the police have initiated further interrogation of the suspects.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the matter, and the case has sparked outrage and concern across social media platforms.
