Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga is situated in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. This is the only south-facing Jyotirlinga. The Bhasma Aarti performed daily during Mahakaal is world famous.

Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga
Omkareshwar, the holy place of Lord Shiva, is situated in the Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh. This Jyotirlinga is near Indore city, where the Narmada River flows nearby. The shape of Om is formed here due to the river flowing around the hill. The Linga established in Omkareshwar is not a Linga carved or carved by any human being but is a natural Shivlinga. This Shivalinga is always filled with water from all sides.

How to reach Omkareshwar and Mahakaleshwar
Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga is 77 km from Indore Airport. One can reach the temple from the airport via bus and taxi. Mahakal Temple is about 58 km away from Indore Airport, which can be reached in about one and a half hour by bus or taxi.

If you want to visit Jyotirlinga by train, then the nearest to Omkareshwar is Omkareshwar Road railway station located on the Ratlam-Indore-Khandwa line, which is located just 12 kilometers from the temple. You can also go to Omkareshwar by road. State Transport Corporation buses will easily reach Omkareshwar. You can also start the journey from Ujjain railway station. If you are going to Ujjain then you can first visit Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga and from there you can leave for Omkareshwar.

Distance from Mahakaleshwar to Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga
It takes about two and a half to three hours by road to reach Omkareshwar Temple from Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga. The distance from Mahakal of Ujjain to Omkareshwar, Mandhata is approximately 141.3 km.

You will get a train ticket from Delhi to Ujjain or Indore for about two thousand rupees. To travel on a budget, you can travel by bus from the railway station to Mahakal or Omkareshwar temple. Whereas a taxi from Mahakal to Omkareshwar will be available for 2 to 3 thousand rupees. You will get a room in the hotel for Rs 500. You can stay in Dharamshala or homestay at a low cost. To visit Jyotirlingas in Madhya Pradesh, you may have to spend around Rs 7 to 10 thousand in a period of two days.
