Kaas Plateau:

The place was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list in 2012 because of its diversity of wildflowers. The Kaas Plateau is situated at an altitude of 1,200 meters. During monsoon, this place is covered with a blanket of flowers. The plateau is home to about 850 species of flowers, including the rare pink balsam flower. How to reach:
By air: If you prefer to travel by air, the nearest airport is Pune. From Pune airport, you can hire a cab or take a bus to reach Kaas.
By Train: To reach by train, you have to reach Satara Railway Station. Kaas is only 30 kilometers away from the station, and you can take a bus or taxi to reach Kaas Plateau.
By Road: If you choose to travel by road, please note that it takes approximately 3 to 5 hours to reach Kaas from Mumbai or Pune. Traveling by road is also an excellent option if you enjoy scenic drives.
