Taj-ul-Masjid of Bhopal
Taj-ul-Masjid of Bhopal is one of the oldest mosques in India. The structure of this luxurious mosque is very attractive and grand. This mosque has been built on about 5.68 acres of land. Taj-ul-Masjid in Bhopal is also called the Pink Mosque, whose precious stones were brought from the Syrian Mosque. This mosque has been built in a very different way, its unique design makes it very beautiful to look at. Here you also get to see many Islamic rocks and huge minarets.

Jama Masjid of Delhi
Perhaps many of you may not know the real name of this mosque. The real name of Jama Masjid of Delhi is 'Masjid-e-Jahan Numa'. This mosque was built by the Mughal emperor Shahjahan between 1650 and 1656. At that time, approximately ten lakh rupees were spent on its construction. Red stone and white marble were used in the construction of the mosque and about twenty-five thousand laborers took part in this work. The mosque was inaugurated by Syed Abdul Ghafoor Shah Bukhari of Bukhara (Uzbekistan). However during the country's freedom struggle, the condition of the mosque deteriorated due to lack of maintenance. In 1948, a demand of Rs 75,000 was made from the seventh Nizam of Hyderabad to repair one-fourth part of the mosque. But the Nizam gave a total of three lakh rupees. He said that I did not want only one-fourth part of the mosque to look beautiful.

Jama Masjid of Ahmedabad
Jama Masjid is one of the largest and famous mosques in India, which was built by Emperor Sultan Ahmed Shah. Jama Masjid looks very beautiful, the specialty of this mosque is that it contains the grave of the queen and son of the Emperor Sultan. Apart from this, the Indo-Islamic architecture here is quite attractive and memorable to see.

Mecca Masjid of Hyderabad
One of the oldest and largest mosques in India, the Mecca Masjid was built in 1694 with mud and bricks exported from Mecca. The 75-foot-high mosque can accommodate 10,000 people at a time. The mosque is located near the historical sites of Chowmahalla Palace, Laad Bazaar, and Charminar. Now you might be wondering why the name of the mosque is 'Makkah Masjid'. So let us tell you. Mohammad Quli Qutub Shah, the fifth ruler of the Qutub Shahi dynasty, had brought soil from Mecca, the holy city of Muslims, for the construction of the mosque. Brick made of the same clay has been installed in the central arch of the mosque.

Jumma Masjid of Bangalore
Jumma Masjid is made of beautiful white colored stones, and was built in 1790 to dedicate it to Tipu Sultan. Lakhs of people come here during the month of Ramadan to pray for the vow, which is highly recognized. You can make plans here in the month of Ramadan.

Jama Masjid of Agra
Mughal emperor Shahjahan paid a lot of attention to construction work during his time. An example of the same is Jama Masjid of Agra. Shahjahan built this mosque in 1648 in memory of his elder daughter Jahan Ara. This mosque is also called 'Jami Masjid'. The arches of the western wall of the mosque are very beautiful. Due to the captivating view of this mosque, it is compared to 'Baitul-Mamur', a mosque made of pearls and rubies present in the seventh heaven.

Bada Imambara of Lucknow
The Bada Imambara of Lucknow is beautiful to look at and is also very big, which is counted among the largest buildings in the country. This beautiful building has been built with Lucknowi bricks, which looks quite different and unique.

Adhai din ka jhopda in Ajmer
You must have heard about the Dargah of Ajmer Sharif, lakhs of people from all over the country come here to pray and visit. It sounds jarring and after hearing the word hut, the picture of a hut is formed in the mind, but the name of this mosque located in Ajmer is the adhai din ka jhopda. The amazing thing is that along with its name, there are many types of beliefs prevalent regarding its construction. As the name suggests, it took approximately two and a half days to build it, hence it came to be known as Adhai Dhaan Ka Jhopra. Others believe that since a fair is held here for two and a half days, it is called Adhai Aadhi Din Ka Jhopra. Nonetheless, it holds a prominent place in the Indian Islamic community. This mosque was built by Mohammad Ghori in 1198.
