This beautiful railway bridge was built over the Indian Ocean and was constructed during the colonial period. This beautiful bridge connects Rameshwaram Island to the land. When the train passes through this bridge, only blue-colored water is visible around.

Vembanad Railway Bridge, Kerala
Vembanad Railway Bridge, located in Kochi city of Kerala state of India, is the longest railway bridge in India. This bridge is 4.62 kilometers long. Let us tell you that the construction work of this bridge was started in the year 2011 and this bridge was completely completed on 31 March 2010. At that time it was the second longest railway bridge in India, after the Vembanad Bridge was inaugurated on 11 February 2011, after which, after a disuse period of about 9 years, this railway bridge was restarted for freight traffic in January 2020 At present, it is the longest railway bridge in India. This bridge connects Edappally and Vallarpadam cities of Kochi city. The biggest feature of the Vembanad Railway Bridge is that even big sea vessels can pass under this railway bridge and at present this bridge is being completely used for freight transportation.

New Jubilee Bridge
The New Jubilee Bridge has been built in place of the old historical Jubilee Bridge. The old Jubilee Bridge built on the Hooghly River in 1885 is now the most prominent and famous in India. The newly constructed Jubilee Bridge connects Naihati and Bandel located in West Bengal. It is a cantilever truss bridge made exclusively by riveting. No nuts or bolts have been used in its construction. The Jubilee Bridge was used by the Indian Railways for 129 years before being decommissioned on 17 April 2016. Teesta Torsha Express was the last train that passed through it.

Konkan Railway Bridge, Maharashtra
Konkan Railway Bridge, also known as Zuari Bridge, is located over the Zuari River in Goa. The bridge is 1,321 meters long and is the longest railway line in the Konkan Rail network. Konkan Rail Network is considered to be one of the most attractive rail routes connecting the states of Karnataka, Goa, and Maharashtra. At a height of 60 meters, the Konkan Bridge is the highest railway bridge in India and one of the highest bridges in Asia. The viaduct is erected on ridges and hollows, with octagonal pylons constructed employing the strong slip-form technique of continuous construction. This is the first bridge to use this technology in India.

Bogibeel Bridge, Assam
Bogibeel Bridge is a rail-cum-road bridge built over the Brahmaputra River in the Indian state of Assam, the construction of which was started in the year 2002. After a long time, its construction work was completed in the year 2018 and it was opened for traffic on 25 December 2018. Bogibeel Bridge is a welded steel-concrete bridge specially designed to withstand severe earthquakes.

Nehru Setu Rail Bridge

Havelock Bridge, Andhra Pradesh
Havelock Bridge, which is also called the Old Godavari Bridge, this rail bridge built on the Godavari River in Andhra Pradesh and is one of the oldest railway bridges in India. This rail bridge is 2.7 kilometers long. The construction of this bridge was started on 11 November 1897. Later, this bridge was opened for traffic on 30 August 1900, at that time this bridge was named after the then Governor of Madras, Sir Arthur Elephant Havelock. This railway bridge was decommissioned in the year 1997 and at present it is a decommissioned railway bridge of India. This railway bridge, which started in 1900, provided service between Howrah and Madras.

Sharavati River Bridge, Karnataka
The Sharavati Bridge, which was completed in 1984, is located south of Honnavar in the state of Karnataka. It is used by the Konkan Railway to cross the Sharavati River. This 2,060-meter-long bridge is the longest railway bridge and also the longest bridge in the state. The total length of the bridge is 1047.65 meters and has 34 spans. Over time the bridge suffered deterioration and was rehabilitated by strengthening the hammerheads and piers through external prestressing of the main girders. Additional steel brackets were also used for the procedure. A load test was later conducted to ensure the effectiveness of these measures.
