Mysore Palace, Karnataka
The three-story palace of Mysore Palace was completely rebuilt after a devastating fire in 1897. There are square towers and domes inside the palace. A wedding pavilion is also built in the court.
Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur
The Mehrangarh Fort, built in the 15th century, is the largest fortification in India. This building was designed keeping in mind the safety of the people of Jodhpur. There is also a museum in the fort which has a collection of artifacts related to the Maharajas.
Gateway of India, Mumbai
The 26-meter-high Gateway of India built in Mayanagari Mumbai offers a beautiful view of the Arabian Sea. It is counted among the most special tourist places in Mumbai. Yellow basalt and concrete have been used in the construction of Gateway of India, famous for its Indo-Saracenic design.
Ellora Caves, Aurangabad
This UNESCO World Heritage Site was built in the fifth and sixth centuries by monks and saints of Buddhist, Jain, and Hindu religions. It includes carved monasteries, worship houses and temples, out of which 12 are of Buddhism, 17 are of Hinduism and 5 are of Jainism.
Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal located in Agra is one of the seven wonders of the world. It is a beautiful example of Islamic design which includes many things including an arch, minaret, and dome. The Taj Mahal, built on the banks of the Yamuna River, is made of white marble.
Red Fort
Shahjahan built the Red Fort in 1648. Red sandstone has been used to build the Red Fort. This historical monument is spread over an area of about two kilometers. It has two main gates 'Lahore Gate' and 'Delhi Gate'.
Qutub Minar, New Delhi
The Qutub Minar, built in the capital Delhi, is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This 73-meter-high tower was built by Qutub-ud-din-Aibak in 1193 after the defeat of the last Hindu empire of Delhi. Qutub Minar has five different floors.
Amer Fort, Jaipur
The Amer Fort was built in 1592. Jaleb Chowk, The Shila Devi Temple describes the specialty of this fort. Along with this, a hall is also built for the people, which is called Diwan-e-Aam.
