Therefore, carry as many woolen clothes as possible with you. It is very important to have coats, jackets, gloves, warm pants, socks, and good shoes in warm clothes. Apart from all this, the head and ears should be completely and well covered while walking. There is a pasture at an altitude of 3048 meters in Auli, which is called Bugyal in the local language. From here, the snow-covered Himalayan mountains look as if cotton has been spread all around. Be it night or day, the view of Auli is always very beautiful. There is also a skiing center here. Auli is famous all over the world for skiing. Along with this, you can also enjoy rock climbing, forest camping, and horse riding.

Auli has the world's highest artificial lake. This lake is situated between the slopes of the mountain. The colorful flowers around enhance the beauty of this lake. Trek to Gurso Bugyal
Located at a distance of about three kilometers from Auli, this is one of the best Auli treks that you must experience. A short climb from the main point of Auli, this track is the best time to enjoy the charm of lush green meadows in summer. But it is advised by the locals that people start the trek early so that they can easily return by evening.

Ropeway
Auli Ropeway is one of the major attractions of Auli, which offers a spectacular view of the mountains. It is the second highest and longest ropeway in Asia after Gulmarg Gondola Ride and Gangtok Cable Car with a total distance of 4 km. This ropeway connects both Joshimath and Auli. A round trip costs Rs 500-1000. There is also a chair lift available that goes only from Auli to the ski resort, which costs Rs 300 per person.
How to reach
The best way to reach Auli is to take a bus from Delhi to Rishikesh. It is an overnight journey. From Rishikesh, you can either take a private taxi to Auli (9 hours) or a shared taxi to Joshimath (8 hours). Another fun way would be to take a shared taxi to Joshimath and from there take the second longest cable car in India from Joshimath to Auli. This cable car is 16 km long and takes 22 minutes. Remember that the cab/bus operators do not drive after sunset on the roads between Rishikesh and Joshimath, though they promise to take you to the destination but it is risky.
