Bindu Sarovar
Bindu Sarovar, located at a distance of about 130 kilometers from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is one of the sacred lakes of India. This lake is present near Rudra Mahal Temple and Arvadeshwar Shiva Temple. It is said about this lake that it is also mentioned in Ramayana and Mahabharata. Apart from this, according to the stories, it is believed that Bindu Sarovar was born due to the tears of Lord Vishnu. For your information, let us tell you that this is one of the five sacred lakes of India. Every year lakhs of Shiva and Vishnu devotees come here to take a bath.

Pampa lake
Pampa Sarovar is a famous tourist spot located in Koppal, Karnataka. According to the story, at this place, Goddess Pampala, another form of Mother Parvati, had performed penance for Lord Shiva. And this is also the same place where Shabari waited for the arrival of Lord Ram. Therefore, according to Hindu mythology, Pampa Sarovar is considered one of the sacred lakes of India.

Pushkar Lake
Pushkar Lake, 14 kilometers away from Ajmer city of Rajasthan, is also considered the most sacred in Hindu civilization. This lake is associated with Lord Brahma. This is the only place in the country where the temple of Lord Brahma is built. It is believed that Apsara Maneka used to bathe in the waters here. According to Mahabharata, Lord Krishna did penance in Pushkar itself. Lord Ram also performed the Shraddha of his father Dasharatha in Pushkar. At this place, Lord Brahma performed Havan from Kartik Shukla Ekadashi to Purnmasi. Due to this, a Kartik fair is organized here every year.

Manas Sarovar
Lake Manasarovar is a very beautiful place located at a distance of 20 kilometers from Mount Kailash at an altitude of 20,015 feet. Let us tell you that this lake is a symbol of purity and it is said that by bathing in this lake, a person gets freedom from all the sins committed in his life. Mount Kailash along with Lake Manasarovar has its historical importance. According to Hindu mythology, Lake Mansarovar was first created in the mind of Lord Brahma, due to which it got the name Mansarovar. According to the Hindu religion, Mount Kailash was the place where Lord Shiva resided and hence this place is considered heaven. It is said about the lake that its color keeps changing. The color of the lake is blue near the shores which changes to green in the centre.

Narayan Sarovar
Narayan Sarovar present in Kutch, Gujarat is a sacred lake as well as a sacred religious place for Hindus. There is a belief about this lake that Lord Vishnu appeared in the incarnation of Narayan at this place. Therefore it is known as Narayan Sarovar. The temples around it are also called Narayan Sarovar Temple. This fair is also organized during November and December. For your information, let us tell you that apart from these four sacred lakes, the fifth sacred lake is Pushkar Lake, which is present in Pushkar city of Rajasthan.

Nainital Lake
As soon as we think of Nainital Lake, the idea of a pear-shaped lake comes to our mind. According to local legends, the eyes of Goddess Sati had fallen at this place, hence it is considered a religious place. Nainital Lake is not only a sacred place in Nainital, Uttarakhand, but is also a major tourist destination of Nainital. According to ancient stories, it is said that once the saints saw that Naini Lake had completely dried up, they brought water from Mansarovar here and filled it. Naini Lake was filled with the water of Mansarovar Lake and since then it has come to be known as the replica of Mansarovar. Pilgrims who cannot visit Lake Manasarovar come to Nainital to seek the blessings of Naina Devi.
