Nalanda University
Nalanda, located in the Indian state of Bihar, is known as the oldest and largest university after Takshashila. This university was built between 450-470 AD. It was done by Kumar Gupta, the ruler of the Gupta dynasty at that time. Vallabhi University

Vikramshila University

Vikramshila University was one of the largest Buddhist universities in ancient India and also a major center of Buddhism in the Indian subcontinent. Pushpagiri University
Pushpagiri University is in the state of Orissa, India. It was constructed around the third century. This university remained world famous for education for the next 800 years i.e. till the 11th century. At that time this university was built in the middle of the hills of Orissa. Ratnagiri University
