Har ki Pauri
Har Ki Pauri is one of the major places of Haridwar. Har ki Pauri means feet of the Lord. It is believed that Lord Vishnu appeared here and there is also a footprint of the Lord on a stone at Hari Ki Pauri. From this ghat, Ganga leaves the mountains and turns towards the plains. Parad Shivalinga
Parad Shivling Harihar Ashram of Kankhal, located 2 kilometers away from Haridwar, is very famous. A 151 kg Shivling made of pure mercury has been established here. Lakhs of devotees come here every year. There is also a Rudraksha tree here which is the center of attraction among the devotees.
Chandi Devi Temple
This temple situated on Neel Parvat is dedicated to Chandi Devi. This temple situated at a height is not only a center of worship but is also popular for trekking among travelers. Bharat Mata Temple
Bharat Mata Temple is also called Mother India Temple. This temple is dedicated to Mother India and is the only temple in the country where the idol of Mother India is worshipped. This temple was built in 1983 by Swami Satyamitrananda and inaugurated by Indira Gandhi. This temple is 108 feet high and has a total of 8 floors. Each floor has statues and photos of different gods, goddesses, and freedom fighters.
