Every day crores of people travel in Indian trains. To ensure that passengers do not face any problems while traveling, a huge network of railways is spread across the country. This network works to connect the border areas of the country to big metros. Today, Indian Railways is operating thousands of trains across the country. However, the number of these trains is insufficient considering the number of passengers traveling by train. Waiting lists for trains go up many months in advance. At the same time, booking Tatkal train tickets is also not an easy task. The number of passengers is so high that as soon as the Tatkal window opens, all the seats get booked in a hurry. Given this problem, Railways is working on a special kind of project. If this project is successful, then in the coming few years the problem of waiting lists for trains will end and all passengers will get confirmed seats.

The government is working at many levels to transform Indian Railways. At present, the gap between demand and supply in Indian Railways is very high. Due to this, many passengers are not able to get confirmed seats to travel on the train.

According to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, the work of track construction is being done rapidly every day in the country. In the last five years, 35 thousand kilometers of track have been laid.

Apart from this, some time ago it was said by Ashwini Vaishnav that Rs 1 lakh crore will be spent to build new trains. This will reduce the problem of waiting lists due to an increase in the number of trains in the coming time.

Apart from this, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has also said that the government is investing heavily in this sector to improve the railway infrastructure and Prime Minister Narendra Modi guarantees that all passengers will get confirmed tickets in the next five years.
