Jai Vilas Palace, Gwalior
Jai Vilas Palace was built by Maharaja Jayaji Rao Scindia in 1874. Michael Philos was the architect who designed this grand structure and incorporated the European style of architecture in his designs. The three floors of this palace have different styles of architecture. The first in the Tuscan style, the second in the Italian Doric, and the third in the Corinthian style. The erstwhile royal seat is now a museum, known as the Jiwaji Rao Scindia Museum.
