The trekking trail of Dara-Padam Trek proceeds through Boulder Fields, Rurik, and Chikka (the last village of Lahaul Valley) to reach Palomo. After walking slowly over a large boulder-strewn meadow and crossing several small streams, one reaches Zanskar Sumdo.
* Stok Kangri Trek
This is certainly one of the most enticing trekking expeditions in the Indian Himalayas. Located in Ladakh, the Stok Kangri trek is every trekker's delight! This trail follows the traditional trade route between Ladakh and Spiti and offers some spectacular views from a high mountain through which the Pare River flows. From the steep gorges and barren environs of Spiti, the landscape opens out into the high Tibetan plateau that forms Ladakh. After days of trekking over jagged mountains, the journey ends at the spectacular Tsomoriri Lake. Tsomoriri is known for its spectacular panorama and abundance of birds and wildlife. The trek starts from Kibber in Spiti and then continues further to Dumla, leading to Thaltak Meadows and gradually ascending to Bongogen via Jagath.
