Devotees coming to Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, will now be able to see Baba in the golden court. After the sanctum sanctorum of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the outer walls started shining golden. This has become possible because of a secret donor, whose donation of 60 kg of gold has made the sanctum sanctorum of Kashi Vishwanath and the four gates of the sanctum sanctorum gold plated. As per the discussions, 37 kg of gold is enshrined in the sanctum sanctorum, and 23 kg of gold is on the outer walls. The gold plating work has been done by a private company from Delhi.
Let me tell you, in 1835, the then Maharaja of Punjab, Ranjit Singh had installed 22 maunds of gold on the two shikharas, after which 60 kg gold has now been added to the sanctum sanctorum, the four gates of the sanctum sanctorum and the bottom of the shikhara due to a secret donor from South India. Leaving 8 feet, it is decorated with gold. This work could be completed in about 6 months.
Chief Executive Officer of Shrikashi Vishwanath Temple Sunil Verma said that after the construction of Vishwanath Dham, all the devotees have contributed to improving and improving the arrangements. In this episode, a plan was made on behalf of a devotee to gild the sanctum sanctorum of the temple and to make the four doors of the sanctum sanctorum golden, leaving the outer part of the sanctum sanctorum eight feet from the bottom, which has almost been completed. The finishing work is yet to be done and the rest of the work has been completed. Under this work, the entire sanctum sanctorum has been gilded. The shikhar was already gold-plated, so leaving it, the four gates down to about 10 feet have been gold-plated from inside and outside. Sunil Verma further told that this plan was made in November-December, but the work could start from January and now it is towards completion.
Sunil Verma further said that since the inauguration in December, there has been a rapid increase in the number of devotees, due to which the income of the Trust of Kashi Vishwanath Temple has increased, as well as the expenditure has also increased. Efforts are being made to provide maximum facilities to the devotees. Along with this, the work of enhancing the beauty of the Dham, such as the work of decorating the golden idols or other idols, is also going on continuously, in which there is a lot of cooperation from the devotees.
