How to plan travel from Delhi to Darjeeling?

If you are travelling by train, you will get sleeper class tickets for Rs 400 to 500. AC coach ticket price starts from Rs 1500. Because you have to travel on a low budget, then book tickets in sleeper coach only.

  • First of all, book a ticket from Delhi to Sealdah.
  • From here you will get a chance to board the train to New Jalpaiguri. The train ticket price here is Rs 185.
  • There are also private vehicles to Darjeeling, you can get them from New Jalpaiguri station.
  • If you want to save money, you can go to Siliguri Bus Stand. From here you will get a direct bus to Darjeeling. The fare will be Rs 100 per person.
  • This means that you will reach Darjeeling with a train ticket of Rs 600 and a bus ticket of Rs 100.
  • You should carry food items with you for the train.
  • If you know how to drive a bike or scooter, you can also take it on rent here.
