Jibran, the terrorist involved in the Pahalgam attack, was identified three and a half months after Operation Mahadev as Hanan Zafar from PoK. He was 25 years old and had joined Lashkar at the age of 19.

Three terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack were killed by the Indian Army in Operation Mahadev on July 28. The third terrorist, Jibran, has finally been identified as Hannan Zafar of PoK, three and a half months after Operation Mahadev. Yesterday, a program was organized in the house of Hannan Zafar, the terrorist who carried out the Pahalgam attack, with his photographs displayed. According to sources, Abu Musa alias Abdullah Kashmiri, a top commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba and the terrorist who got Hannan Zafar alias Jibran to join Lashkar, was also present.

Identification was done the very next day after Operation Sindoor.
According to information received so far, the terrorist involved in the Pahalgam attack, Hanan Zafar alias Jibran, was approximately 25 years old, and his father, Mohammad Zafar, worked as a laborer in the Sudhanoti area of PoK. The identities of the other two terrorists killed in Operation Mahadev were revealed the day after the operation. They included Bilal Afzal alias Faisal Jatt alias Suleman and Habib Tahir alias Hamza Afghani of Sheikhupura, Pakistan, who were killed by the Indian Army.

He joined Lashkar at the age of 19.
According to sources, terrorist Hanan Zafar alias Jibran had joined Lashkar-e-Taiba at the age of 19, in which in the first phase he had done Daura-e-Suffa/Dura-e-Umma from Lashkar's Suffa Academy located in Muridke, after which he had taken training of Daura-e-Lashkar from Lashkar-e-Taiba's training camp KFC Muzaffarabad and Daura-e-Fidai from Forward Kahuta, entered the Indian border and carried out the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22.
