Mohammed Shami, the best fast bowler on the Indian team, will no longer be seen bowling in T20 International matches. Because they will not be selected for this format. T20 World Cup 2021 was the last assignment for Mohammed Shami. After this, he is no longer a part of Team India. Deepak Chahar and Harshal Patel have now joined Team India. The same Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will continue to play for India in T20 Internationals. Whereas Deepak Chahar will be a bowler either Harshal, Patel, or Arshdeep Singh as the third seamer.

In a conversation with InsideSport, a member of the selection committee said – Shami's age is not decreasing. We need to prepare them afresh to play Tests. His name is not being considered for T20. We talked about his workload management after the T20 World Cup. Now the same thing is going to happen. At present, he does not have T20 plans. We have to focus on the young bowlers.

For the past several years, Mohammed Shami has been an important part of all three formats for the Indian team. But he has not been playing Indian international T20 International cricket since last year's T20 World Cup. Now there is no guarantee that he will be selected for India's T20 team in the future or not.
