Virat Kohli is always counted among such players, who do not believe in hiding their feelings on the field. If they are happy about something, they express it openly and do not show any delay in expressing their displeasure. However, his attitude has changed in recent years. Or rather say that there has been a difference between the earlier and now Kohli, then it will not be wrong. However, even though his bat is not running in IPL 2022. But when given the opportunity, he does not shy away from expressing his happiness or displeasure. What has changed in Kohli over the years, has been revealed by his teammate and close friend Glenn Maxwell in RCB.

Glenn Maxwell's second year in IPL is with Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was bought by RCB in the 2021 auction for Rs 14.25 crore and in the very first season, Maxwell had scored 513 runs in 15 matches for RCB at a strike rate of 145. In these two years, Maxwell and former Indian captain Virat Kohli have developed a deep friendship and both spend a lot of time on and off the field.

Surprised by changes in Kohli: Maxwell

Maxwell revealed about his relationship and the change in Kohli in RCB's podcast. He said, “In the initial phase when I used to play against him (Kohli), he was very aggressive. He used to answer you in your language. Then Kohli would not let any chance leave his mark on the match. But, for some time I have been noticing them. He has become restrained in his emotions and decisions. I am surprised to see the change in them. I could probably recognize it because both of us have come close in the past and talked a lot about the game and I like their company."

Even in IPL 2022, Virat Kohli's bat is silent. He is not able to play big innings. This has also affected his team Royal Challengers Bangalore. The way for the team to reach the playoffs this season is looking difficult. Kohli has scored 236 runs in 13 matches so far this season. Not a single half-century has come off his bat in this season. In the last match against Punjab Kings, Kohli could not convert a good start into big innings and was dismissed after scoring 20 runs. On the other hand, Maxwell has scored 228 runs in 10 matches. He has scored a half-century this season.
