Let us tell you that BCCI gives pensions to retired cricketers every month so that cricketers can earn their living after retirement. The BCCI has given a one-time pension of Rs 1.5 crore to all retired Test cricketers who have played more than 100 Test matches at the end of 2003-04, while players who have played 75 to 99 Test matches will be paid Rs 1 crore. And players playing 50 to 74 Test matches will get 75 lakh rupees as pension only once.

Indian Test cricketers who took retirement before 2003-04, those who played between 25 to 49 test matches, Rs 60 lakhs, those who played 10 to 24 test matches Rs 50 lakhs, and those who played 1 to 9 test matches. The player will get Rs 35 lakh once under the One Time Pension Scheme. Players playing first-class matches under the One Time Scheme will also get the benefit.
