Team India's coaching staff will change after the T20 World Cup. Team India's head coach Ravi Shastri's tenure is coming to an end after the T20 World Cup. Ravi Shastri has said that he does not want to be a coach again after the World Cup. Therefore, the BCCI has published an advertisement for the new coach of Team India. Applications have also been invited for the posts of head coach, batting coach, bowling coach and fielding coach. Bharat Arun is currently the bowling coach of the team and R Sridhar is the fielding coach, whose tenure also ends after the World Cup. It was rumored that Vikram Rathore would be retained as the batting coach, but the BCCI's announcement has made it clear that the batting coach will also change.

The BCCI has laid down some rules for coaching Team India. This includes the conditions for how much experience one should have for this position. It has also been reported that Rahul Dravid has agreed to become the coach of Team India. Conditions for becoming a head coach - The aspirant must have played at least 30 Tests or 50 ODIs.

Or must be the head coach of a Test playing country for at least two years. Or - Must have 3 years experience as head coach of cricket playing country / IPL team or International League / First Class Cricket / National A team. Or - A person who has done BCCI Level 3 or similar coaching course can apply. - The age of the applicant should be less than 60 years.

Requirements for batting coach - Player who has played at least 10 Tests or 25 ODIs or - Batting coach of Test playing country for at least 2 years Anyone who has been a batting coach for less than 3 years or a person who has done BCCI Level 3 or similar coaching course can apply. - The age of the applicant should be less than 60 years. Conditions for bowling coach - At least 10 Test or 25 ODI players or - Bowling coach of a country playing Test for at least 2 years or - Cricket playing country / IPL team or International League / National A team / First class team / Under-19 National team Persons who have been bowling coaches for less than 3 years - Applicants should be below 60 years of age. Conditions for fielding coach - At least 10 Test or 25 ODI players or - Fielding coach of a country playing Test for at least 2 years or - Cricket playing country / IPL team or International League / National A team / First class team / Under-19 National team Persons who have been fielding coaches for less than 3 years - Applicants should be below 60 years of age.
