The first Test match between India and Pakistan was played in 1952 from 16 to 18 October at the Feroz Shah Kotla ground in Delhi. In this match, batting first, Team India scored 372 runs. In response, Pakistan's team was bundled out for 150 runs in the first innings. India fed Pakistan a follow-on. In the second innings too, Pakistan's team was all out for 152 runs. Team India won this match by 70 runs.

The first international ODI match was played between India and Pakistan on 1 October 1978. Batting first in this match of 40 overs, the Indian team scored 170 runs. Chasing the target, Pakistan's team could score only 166 runs losing 7 wickets and Team India won the match by 4 runs.

India Pakistan, 1st T20
In the 2007 World Cup between India and Pakistan, the first T20 match was played on 14 December. In this match, the Indian team came out to bat first. Batting first, the Indian team scored 141 runs. Chasing the target, Pakistan's team scored 141 runs and the match was tied. After which the super over was played. At that time there was a rule of Bola out, under which six players of both the teams were to be bowled out on empty wickets. India won this ball-out the match by a margin of 3-0.
