Once upon a time, there was more than one fast bowler in West Indies. There was such a bowler that even batsmen like Vivian Richards, Steve Waugh, and David Gower were afraid. Once this bowler ripped Graham Gooch's helmet from the middle. That bowler was none other than Sylvester Clarke, who played 11 Tests and 10 ODIs for the West Indies. Once during a test match, he threw a brick at the Pakistani audience.

This incident happened during 1980-81 when the West Indies team went on a tour of Pakistan. Pakistan's team was trailing 1-0 in the series and the last match was to be played. Batting first, the West Indies team was bundled out for 246 runs. But the start of Pakistan's team was very bad. Sylvester Clarke was bowling very dangerous. But seeing their team losing, Pakistan's spectators got worried and they started throwing fruits and food items at West Indies players.

An orange hit Sylvester's back, which made him angry. But even then he did not get angry. However, later when the spectators crossed all their limits, Sylvester hit the spectators by lifting the brick placed near the boundary which hit a spectator's head and he had to be admitted to the hospital. Later Sylvester Clark apologized for his action. But he had to face suspension for three matches.
