BCCI announces the name of Team India

On Monday 31 October, BCCI announced the name of Team India and this team will play three T20 and three ODI matches against New Zealand.

According to the announcement made by the BCCI, the senior players of Team India have not been included in this series, as well as the captaincy of this T20 team will be with Hardik Pandya and the captaincy of the ODI series will be Shikhar Dhawan. While Rishabh Pant will be the vice-captain in both series.

Simultaneously, for the ODI series, Shikhar Dhawan (captain), Rishabh Pant (vice-captain, wicketkeeper), Shubman Gill, Deepak Hooda, Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Sanju Samson (wicketkeeper), Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Shahbaz Ahmed, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Deepak Chahar, Kuldeep Sen, Umran Malik have been included in Team India.

At the same time, big players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Dinesh Karthik, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Mohammed Shami are not part of the team for this New Zealand tour.
