On Monday 31 October, BCCI announced the name of Team India and this team will play three T20 and three ODI matches against New Zealand.

According to the announcement made by the BCCI, the senior players of Team India have not been included in this series, as well as the captaincy of this T20 team will be with Hardik Pandya and the captaincy of the ODI series will be Shikhar Dhawan. While Rishabh Pant will be the vice-captain in both series.
