Bangladesh ODI captain Tamim Iqbal has decided to call off his retirement. Iqbal announced his retirement from international cricket on Thursday (July 6). Later, at the behest of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Tamim decided to withdraw his retirement.

After meeting the Prime Minister, Tamim changed his mind and will continue to play for Bangladesh. Tamim Iqbal, 34, met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Instagram on Friday. He went to Prime Minister's residence with his wife. He also shared pictures from there.

Tamim wrote, "I cannot say no to the respected Prime Minister." According to the Dhaka Tribune, the BCB confirmed that Tamim reversed his decision following the intervention of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He reportedly met her on Friday afternoon after asking her out on a date.
