Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been the former captain of the Indian cricket team. He made many such records in his cricket career, which have not been broken to date and it is impossible to break these records in the future also.

  • Dhoni has been the highest run-scorer in ODIs as a wicket-keeper batsman. Dhoni played an unbeaten inning of 183 runs while batting at number three in the ODI match played at Jaipur against Sri Lanka on 31 October 2005 and this is the record for the most runs scored by any wicket-keeper batsman in an ODI inning.
  • Dhoni is the highest run-scorer in T20 Internationals without scoring a half-century. Dhoni scored 1153 runs in 75 T20 matches. But during this time he did not score any century. The first T20 century with his bat came in the match against England in 2017 after 66 innings.
  • Dhoni won the title of ICC T20 World Cup, ICC ODI World Cup, and ICC Champions Trophy as captain. Apart from him, no captain in the world has been able to do this feat.
  • Dhoni has led the Indian team in 332 matches as a captain and no one will probably be able to leave him behind in this matter.

  • Dhoni has bowled very rarely. In total, he bowled in 9 international matches and he is the only cricketer in the world to do so as a wicketkeeper.
