In the last match of the three-match ODI series between India and West Indies, opener Shubman Gill missed out on scoring a century by just 2 runs. He was present at the crease after scoring 98 runs in 98 balls. But then the match got disrupted due to rain and the match had to be stopped midway. The rain continued for a long time, due to which the innings of the Indian team could not be carried forward and the West Indies team went straight to play on the field. In such a situation, Gill missed out on scoring his first international century.

After missing a century, Shubman Gill also expressed his pain. He said after the match- I was expecting a century. But all this was not under my control because it was raining. However, I am completely happy with my innings. I was very disappointed with the way I got out in the first two matches of this series. I didn't try too hard to rotate the strike. After the first break from the rain, we started playing in our style. I just wanted to play one more over.
