SA VS IND: Bad news has come for South Africa between the first Test match against India being played at Centurion's SuperSport Park. The host team's fast bowler Duanne Olivier has been ruled out of the first Test match after showing symptoms of the corona. Cricket South Africa (CSA) selection coordinator Victor Mpitsang has given this information. He said that Olivier was dropped from the first test due to showing symptoms of the corona. The team management is confident that he will be fully fit before the second Test starting on January 3.

Olivier, who entered South Africa's bio bubble last week, is believed to have shown symptoms of the coronavirus and is also battling hamstrings, ESPNcricinfo reports. Olivier is the leading wicket-taker for South Africa in first cricket this year. He has taken 28 wickets at an unbelievable average of less than 12. In his absence, 21-year-old left-arm fast bowler Marco Yanson made his debut in the first Test.

Victor said, 'Olivier is now doing well. But he was found corona positive several weeks ago, which he had to stay in quarantine for several days. After this, he had practiced hard before the current Test series against India. He also looked troubled with a hamstring injury during the intra-squad match before this Test, so the selectors do not want to take any risk.
