S Sreesanth returned to domestic cricket after spot-fixing. He got a chance to play for Kerala in Ranji Trophy. His name was also included in the auction list of IPL 2022. But no team bought him. After this, he announced his retirement recently. However, he has made it clear that he will continue to play local tournaments for 2-3 years. He was part of the Indian team that won the T20 World Cup in 2007 and the ODI World Cup in 2011. But in 2013, the IPL spot-fixing scandal put a brake on his career. He was banned for life by the BCCI. But later it was reduced to 7 years after the order of the court.

In 2008, an incident happened during IPL. S Sreesanth, playing for Punjab Kings, was slapped by former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh. He was the captain of the Mumbai Indians at that time. Recalling that incident, S Sreesanth said that to date I do not know why Harbhajan Singh slapped me. Talking to Dainik Jagran, Sreesanth said that I was trying to make a comeback in IPL for the last 2 years. But perhaps it could not happen due to increasing age. I am happy that all the franchises are giving opportunities to the young players and they are also performing well.

Harbhajan was banned

After the slap scandal, Harbhajan Singh was thrown out of that entire season. After the investigation, the board banned him from 5 ODIs. However, Sreesanth refused to make any complaint and said that Harbhajan Singh is like his elder brother. On the performance of the players in the current IPL, he said that both Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav are performing well. But only one of these two will be selected for the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia. Fast bowler Mohammed Shami is set to play the World Cup.

Chahal is uprooting the dead

Recently, leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal created a sensation by saying that he was hung by a player from the balcony during the 2011 Champions League. After this, reacting to former Indian coach Ravi Shastri, said that such players should be banned forever. On this, S Sreesanth said that after 11 years there is no point in exposing such things. He had to tell all this at that time itself. It is like uprooting the dead. I think he said all this jokingly. He said that Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul may not have achieved form in the IPL so far. But they will do well in the T20 World Cup.
