Sri Lanka Legends defeated England Legends by seven wickets in their second match played on Tuesday at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur, following lethal bowling by Sanath Jayasuriya (4 for 3). Recorded his second consecutive win in the second edition of the Road Safety World Series.

This is Sri Lanka Legends' second consecutive win in two matches this season. The team defeated Australia Legends by 38 runs in their first match. Sri Lanka Legends are now at the top of the points table with four points from two matches while England Legends have already suffered a loss this season.

Sri Lanka Legends won the toss and bowled first, England Legends were bundled out for 78 runs in 19 overs and then easily chased down the target in 14.3 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Dilshan Munaweera scored 24, Upul Tharanga 23, skipper Tillakaratne Dilshan 15, and Jeevan Mendis scored 8 not out for Sri Lanka Legends. Dimitri Mascarenes, Steven Perry, and Chris Scofield took a wicket each for England Legends.

Earlier, Sri Lanka Legends won the toss and called on England Legends to bat. In front of Sanath Jayasuriya's spin, the England Legends batsmen could not do anything special and were bundled out for 78 runs in 19 overs. Captain Ian Bell was the top scorer for England Legends, scoring 15 runs. Apart from him, Phil Mustard contributed 14 and Chris Scofield contributed 10 not out while Steven Perry contributed 10 runs. Apart from this, no other batsman could touch the double figure.

Sanath Jayasuriya bowled lethally for Sri Lanka Legends, conceding only three runs in his four overs and achieving four major breakthroughs. Jayasuriya bowled a 21-ball dot. Apart from them, Chaturanga de Silva took two wickets and Jeevan Mendis and Isuru Udana took one wicket each. At the same time, fast bowler Nuwan Kulasekara took 2 wickets for 11 runs in 3 overs.
