India's formidable wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant said the team is "a bit nervous" about the preparations for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup. The T20 World Cup is going to start this year in Australia on 22 October. India was knocked out of the group stage of the T20 World Cup last year. Team India will enter this ICC tournament this year with a changed look under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma.

Pant said on the sidelines of an event, "Now that the World Cup is around the corner, the whole team is a bit nervous but at the same time we as a team like to give our 100 percent and focus on the process. We can only do this. Hopefully this time they will reach the finals and do their best for the team. In Australia, we get the support of the audience. It looks like we can win."

Rishabh Pant played a key role in winning the historic 2020-21 Test series in Australia. With the same confidence, almost two years later, Pant will once again take to Australian soil with the intention of helping India win the T20 World Cup.

Recalling his last two innings played in Australia, Pant said, 'It is one of my favorite moments in my cricket career so far. I am glad that I was able to help my team cross the line that day and get that amazing Test match and series win.

Pant also praised the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground, which will host much-awaited India vs Pakistan match in the T20 World Cup.

Rishabh Pant said, “I think there is a wonderful atmosphere playing at the MCG because it is one of the most prestigious cricket stadiums around the world. Especially the Indian crowd there is fantastic for us.

Let us tell you, India won the last ICC tournament in the form of the Champions Trophy in 2013 and now they are desperate to end this wait. The last time India was knocked out was in the first round of the T20 World Cup.
