Rishabh Pant Health Update: Team India's star wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant was discharged from Max Hospital in Dehradun on 4 January 2023. He was airlifted to Mumbai for further treatment. He will be admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has informed that Pant will undergo surgery for a ligament injury. In such a situation, he has been away from the cricket field for an indefinite period.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah said in a press release that Rishabh Pant has been airlifted to Mumbai from a hospital in Dehradun, where he will be treated for knee and ankle ligament injuries. The BCCI decided to take Rishabh Pant to Mumbai by air ambulance as he was not in a position to fly by any commercial airline.

Earlier, news agency PTI had already informed that Rishabh Pant will be treated by renowned sports orthopedic surgeon Dinshaw Pardiwala. Jai Shah told that Rishabh Pant will be admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute. He will be treated under the direct supervision of Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, Head of the Center for Sports Medicine and Director of Arthroscopy and Shoulder Services.
