Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has been one of the most explosive batsmen of his era. Raina, who scored the first century in T20 for India, was hungry for runs whenever he came to bat in the field. However, the more careful Raina was with his shot selection, the more attention he paid to food and taste. Perhaps this was the reason why Raina, one of the most agile fielders in the country, was never as fit in appearance as he used to be while fielding.

A foodie, Raina has often shared pictures of himself cooking at home. He has now decided to start his restaurant in Amsterdam. In a detailed post on social media, Raina revealed that his restaurant will provide customers with an authentic taste of Indian cuisine.

Suresh Raina wrote "I am very happy to introduce Raina Indian Restaurant in Amsterdam, where my passion for food and cooking reigns supreme! Over the years, you have seen my love for food and followed my culinary adventures." now I am on a mission to bring the most authentic and genuine flavors from different parts of India straight to the heart of Europe.”

He further added, “Join me on this extraordinary gastronomic journey as we embark on a delicious adventure together. Stay tuned for exciting updates, glimpses of our mouth-watering creations, and the grand unveiling of Raina Indian restaurant. Stay together."

The 36-year-old Raina has been an explosive top-order batsman. He played 18 Tests, 226 ODIs, and 78 T20Is for India and scored over 7,000 runs across all formats.

He also played in every season of the IPL tournament between 2008 and 2021. However, in 2020 the tournament was held in the UAE and Raina left the tournament midway and returned home. Raina has played 205 IPL matches and scored over 5500 runs, including an unbeaten century. The Indian cricketer played for CSK and Gujarat Lions in IPL and represented Uttar Pradesh in domestic tournaments.
